I like Chinese,
I like Chinese,
They're short and sweet,
And they're ready to please. Eric Idle

Well what I don't understand about the promised land is this: Why did God make the promised land the only piece of desert without oil?
He tells the people" Come over here look at this patch of land I got you." And teh people in Egypt go: "Well we're quite happy over here you know, there's this black liquid coming out it's going to make us rich" and God says: " Well I knd of promised that to your enemies"

That was one of my favorite bits at the two shows I saw these past couple of nights starring Eric Idle of Monty Python fame. He is back on tour and my friend Gilli Moon is his stage manager. If you don't remember Gilli go back and read the August archives. She's my dear old Australian friend who I also claim was my first girlfriend ever .. I'm not sure how she's been taking that.. Anywho she was back in NYC for a couple of nights and got us tix for eric's two shows which I have to say were just hilarious, rioutous, outright funny I mean nice... after all Eric claims to be the 10th nicest of the Monty Pythons (and I thought there were only six of them). So having not spent many years with Gilli I now managed to go through a blackout in August and three days in October where she managed to stage manage a perfect show, have dinner with me and even set fire to her own hotel room (and they say the rock n' roll antics are over). The company she works with is also great... There's Crazy Jennifer Julian who also hosts a couple of Radio shows in Montana, there's intimidating Peter Crabbe a most amazing performer, comedian, writer, general and queer soldier among other things, the ubiquitous John Du Prez who has been a charter member of the extended Python Family since "The Life of Brian" (incidentally he's the Musical Director or MD and I wonder if that's why he was wearing scrubs on stage), then there's Scott who is a talented guitar tech/player and the master of ceremonies Tour Manager Extraordinaire Skip (who really is a tour manager and knows what's best for the company). I would also like to mention the soundmen (which is not a new grunge band but actually two people who have been and are going to be making sure there are no buzzes or feedbacks during performances) Larry Mah and Darren Mora Just an outright great group of people to be on tour with. So if you have time and are in one of the twons listed on The Greedy Bastard Tour site please try and go see it. It's really worth the little money you'd have to fork over. And to the Greedy Bastard and his large entourage(which is not another word for male genitalia) I thank you all for the good times and the laughs and I would really try to come to Philly if I could!!! cheers all

Root, root, root for the home team....NOT!

So those up there are 2 tickets for Game 6 of the world series.... what a game that was... Most my friends know how much I hate the NY Yankees and couldn't believe I actually got a pair of tix to game six... I toyed with the idea of not going and giving them away to a Yankee fan friend.. but after more discussion and introspection I thought Hell it's the World Series when am I ever going to get a chance to see that again... so I went... I stayed quiet the whole game... watched some brilliant pitching by Beckett and ended up being the only one clapping when the Marlins won the series... go figure!!
