It is the evening of the day
I sit and watch the children play
Doin' things I used to do
They think are new
I sit and watch
As tears go by. The Rolling Stones

It is actually morning and I am procrastinating as usual... well I just wanted to wish all of my 3 joyful loyal readers a happy Thanksgiving... I for one am going away for a couple of days to sleep wathc football and eat a bird i really don't particularly care for.. now if it was teh Turducken that would be a different story .. but alas we are not in New Orleans and teh closest place Iknow who serves it is about 80 miles away from where I'll be so there! ok so enjoy everything.. the family disputes .. the pies in the face... the cranberry sauce on your Sunday church outfit ... the nephews and nieces pulling your hair trying to get your attention while you're trying to nap/watch football... and remember to be thankful for that chemical in turkeys that makes you sleep while you dream about all this..... Happy Halloween!

Magnificent promises are always to be suspected. Theodore Parker

so here goes.... Saturday or Sunday afternoon movie... usually on WPIX or WWOR in NY, most of the time an old blockbuster hit that has been trimmed to fit your screen and the time allotted... you go to a commerciall break and you're half way through the movie... a voice in the middle of the break comes back and says: "we will return after these messages" I can understand that; same commercial break and the same voice comes again and says: "The movie will return in a moment" I can understand that too build anticipation and keep the viewer glued to the screen ... but then .. in the same break .. the same voice comes on... again... and says: The movie will return" now that I don't get .. I sure hope that the movie comes back I only sat through it for an hour and what are they cgoing to do? show half of another movie?... food for thought
