I am just going outside and may be some time. Captain Lawrence Oates (1880 - 1912), last words

Ten years ago I was probably packing up some stuff picking out CDs getting ready for a move that would change my life so drastically I can't even look back and think of what it would be like if had stayed.... The next day with a one way ticket I was landing in NYC and the BMG building (my former employer) was on fire. Was that an omen? Did that mean I should've packed my bags again and run back to BMG in Italy with my tail between my legs?

These last ten years have been full of surprises let's see I lived in 7 apartments and a YMCA, I've changed numerous jobs (too many to count), interacted with thousand's of people, a handful of which I'm still in touch with and married a great woman (even though I didn't really believe in marriage before I met her).
I've made a few good friends whom I'll miss dearly if I ever left again but most of all I like to think I've grown a little and learned from my mistakes... or have I?
Well tomorrow at 3 PM I'll be having a drink in honor of my 10 years in NYC I only wish that careerwise I had just a little more to show for it.
