Getting ahead in a difficult profession requires avid faith in yourself. That is why some people with mediocre talent, but with great inner drive, go much further than people with vastly superior talent. Sophia Loren

This coming from a woman who allegedly slept her way to the top... then again she's sucha beautiful woman you forgive her everything...
So my question is this: does the end really justify the means? example: a celebrity sleeps his or her way to superstardom, backstabbing innocent bystanders on the way up, everbody knows about this but because he or she is so famous we as a collective tend to forgive his or her sins. Is it right to do so when we condemn a nobody for doing the same thing in everyday life?.. let me know

If that question is too heavy for you all we can discuss the price of tomatoes in Mexico and how staggered crop growing keeps the earth fertile...
Curious things, habits. People themselves never knew they had them. Agatha Christie

Just a quote... for now Damn Jeff!

Money frees you from doing things you dislike. Since I dislike doing nearly everything, money is handy. Groucho Marx

I'm not very good with money ... I like to spend more than I have and my wife hates it... You can give me 20 dollars and after 10 minutes all I'll have to show for it is a pack of smokes (In NYC that would leave me with 13 bucks unaccounted for)... I usually spend money on stuff I dont really need and end up using once or twice (see:PDA, See also: New Music Release) but as of lately I've learned to refrain from going out and buying stuff... I did accomplish something today though... I convinced my wife we needed a CD burner so I took advantage of J & R's No Tax three days and went out and bought myself an external IOMEGA burner... now I can finally record all the junk I've been downloading and see if I can make some nice compilations out of it.
Meanwhile back at Stately Wayne Manor we did go for our school survey today, however, the person who was supposed to escort us around didn't show (her agency reports to the Mayor.. Go figure!!) hence no access to the buildings except for some sneaking around in the schoolyard... I was expecting to see Paul Simon and Julio there.... we came away with some pretty pictures of what needs to be done and maybe we'll get an escorted tour soon ... Friday it's back to the power plants!... Lateroo
But I am a doctor, I have an appointment with two sets of siamese twins with split personalities. I'm getting paid by eight people. Woody Allen (Zelig)

That was a movie I saw last night and somehow I thought it applied to the Blog ... I mean aren't we allowed to maintain alter egos on the web? Some Blogs I viewed are more of the personal kind with family photos and stories about how they didn't have enough money for their token so they had to return the paper they bought... but some other ones I've seen are more about that secret personailty that we hide behind our computer screens... our invincible ever happy go lucky self we never show in public.. or the action star we always wanted to be... I for one think of my blog as free therapy ... and it's working... what do you think?

I have come to the conclusion that politics are too serious a matter to be left to the politicians. Charles De Gaulle

It looks like I wont be going to do my School survey tomorrow... Apparently the Mayor's office called us and told us we shouldn't do our survey now since the Chancellor is brand new and hasn't had time to settle in... we'll see... I'm curious to find out who's going to buy dinner for whom first....
As an adolescent I aspired to lasting fame, I craved factual certainty, and I thirsted for a meaningful vision of human life - so I became a scientist. This is like becoming an archbishop so you can meet girls. M. Cartmill

This calls for another wohoo I got a mention on someone elses Blog.. a woman named Rachelle quoted me on an e-mail I sent her while reading her Blog and commenting on restaurants... It turns out she lives above one of my favorite Sushi spots but has only been there once... maybe I'll get more hits... meanwhile I still need help to put some links on the side of my Blog if anyone takes pity on me and sends me some scripts and where to put them in the template I'd really appreciate it... Tomorrow I'm being sent to survey newly comstructed schools to make sure they are ready for the beginning of September ... it's not going to be undercover work like my powerplant survey but it's a day out of the office and it promises to be a beautiful day in.. NYC.. oh I watched "The Others" last night and I came to realize it was just another "Sixth Sense" clone... lateroo
What Me Worry? Alfred E. Neuman

I'm starting to get readers!!! wohoo It's a sweet sensation when you know someone else is reading your stuff it's like I've stopped talking to the wall and started climbing it instead ... wohoo keep reading and keep shouting .. and if anything buugs you let me know I may not have the answer but I might be able to give you some insight....
Time is an illusion. Lunchtime doubly so. Douglas Adams

5 minutes later .. I'm scouring the web for some unusual weird information to comment on... only come up with a 7 foot tall skunk ape sighting near Naples, FL in 1999...what the heck is a skunk ape anyway? The Italian news (ever so up to date on Gossip) reports that Billy Bob is remarrying his fourth wife.. (who cares).. now this is the same paper which years ago reported that Keanu Reeves was married to David Geffen.. oh well I guess I should find something more interesting to do right now... Lateroo
In the days of my youth
I was told what it means to be a man,
Now I've reached the age
I've tried to do all those things the best I can.
No matter how I try,
I find my way into the same old jam.
Led Zeppelin

I guess this explains my mood the last couple of days ... I'm starting to believe my greatest accomplishment was learn how to swim when I was 3... but then again I'm not that down and out ... I have a good job, a beautiful wife, and a whola lotta friends.. so why is it that today I feel gloomy? I'm usually a positive person always smiling even at the adversities I might encounter ... anyway as I said I have to think positive so I will... wow that was easy .. If only....

I'm just trying to get in, it's not like I'm running for Jesus. Homer Simpson

I guess this one needs no explanation .. It's like when Apu in an episode said "tonight I'm going to party like it's on sale for $19.99" you can never get enough of the so called simpsonisms...they have become part of our everyday life so you know what I'll say? Barney Gumble for President!!!

The golden rule is that there are no golden rules. George Bernard Shaw

Quite an eventful weekend... Haircut (as soon as I can make links on the sidebar you'll see it) ... picked up a Zipcar to drive to Brooklyn... picked up wedding photos, video and DVD (incidentally the $ 250 we spent for the DVD proved to be useless since it doesn't work)... Went to a Met game (they lost their 10th home game in a row)... watched the Score (Good movie shot in Montreal)... got my first Golf lesson and enjoyed it (that way when I go to this tournament in Toronto at the end of the month I wont make a complete ass of myself) and skipped dinner for a healthier Budwieser... finished a book named "choke" by the author of "Fight Club" (good book.. crazy outcome)
