It is better to hide ignorance, but it is hard to do this when we relax over wine. Heraclitus

I couldn't decide on a quote about drinking because they were all so damn good!!! So having to choose between the philosophy of W.C. Fields I always keep a supply of stimulant handy in case I see a snake--which I also keep handy. or that of Ernest Hemingway Always do sober what you said you'd do drunk. That will teach you to keep your mouth shut., I chose that of a Philosopher I had to study in school some odd years ago.... anywho regarding Hemingway I just read two books by a writer named Tim Dorsey called Florida Roadkill and The Hammerhead Ranch Motel they are a mix between Elmore Leonard and Carl Hiaasen with a touch of Quentin Tarantino , and one of the recurring groups of carachters in both books are the Hemingway lookalikes who are funded by a british company to go to events, jump out of planes or just hang around a bar and drink ... sort of what I think the Elvis impersonators do in Vega$ ... just a thought .. you should pick em up sometime they are hilarious
Damn Jeff!!! Me

I figured I'd give Jeff top billing today for allowing me to hug the Toilet bowl around 2 in the morning ... anyway I was kinda thinking I need to increase viewership so starting tomorrow I'll add a button that will allow you to view male or female strippers right on your desktop... how about that? I'm a good guy aren't I? well more to come later......

You're only given a little spark of madness. You mustn't lose it. Robin Williams

I was going to talk about Richard III a great Shakespeare play turned into a great british movie... however I started listening to the Rolling Stones and as every other Rock n' Roller I know, I am in Stones mode and was not able to go see them in concert... my friend Roger did after offering me the ticket, taking it back 30 seconds later, offering it to me again and deciding to go himself after another 30 seconds of carrot dangling in front of my nose (I am open to comments on this one)...but I digress then I came across this excellent quote by Robin Williams and started thinking how true it is and how I see a red door and I want to paint it black then the Honky Tonk Women came by and we had a party and then... but I digress again... finally it's a gorgeous day in NYC although I am no longer able to access my or other blogs from work I can only write on them .. but be sure I'll be reading your comments when I get home.. Cheerio!

A little learning is a dangerous thing but a lot of ignorance is just as bad. Bob Edwards

I just got back from acomputer basics course where I learned how to:
1. Understand the network (oh we have un understanding)
2. Save into various drives (and then drive into the river)
3. Intro to Windows 2000 and Windows 95 (I don't think we actually met.. my name is...)
4.Create and Save to various folders and or sub folders (you mean I can actually play God?)
and my favorite

Drum roll please

5. Multitasking (or how to eat, drink and have sex a la George Costanza) see also the The Trifecta

It was actually quite enlightening lol
I don't want to achieve immortality through my work... I want to achieve it through not dying. Woody Allen

so I started my new job yesterday... It's a far cry from my cushy City job but more interesting and I will be making a difference... It's one of those feel good jobs where at the end of the day you know you've given something back....
We get free coffee in the morning, a full hour for lunch, a whole bunch of holidays and I get to meet a lot of neat people who are less fortunate than me and I can't work over 35 hours a week ... that was supposed to be the same at the other job but never happened....

I did however enjoy my month long forced vacation... I went to Boston and out to the Hamptons for a couple of days....
Boston was great!!! excellent food, beautiful weather and a lot of walking.... and all much cheaper than NYC!!!!

I even got to see my friend Mitch, who I hadn't seen in ages and who runs one of the most exclusive clubs in town...
Mitch and I worked togetehr one summer in the Hamptons and we had a lot of fun drinking, smoking and making fun of all those posers who came to the club flaunting money and pretending to be important. Oh, did I mention we made a lot of money doing it too? People used to just throw money at you to impress their dates and their dates used to throw themselves at you to get back at them for ogling other women... well I guess that's enough for now but remind me one day to tell you the story about when the clubs restaurant was overbooked and I got offered sexual favors to feed a woman... what do you think I did?

But we have more time!!! Lisa Simpson

This is a reference to a great movie called Logan's Run. I just put it there to let you know I'm still here and I have a few things I want to tell you all but have little time right now so hang in there and keep shouting!
