They certainly give very strange names to diseases. Plato

My dear friend Roger sent me an e-mail with a possible answer to he endless search
As described by Captain Benjamin Franklin "Hawkeye" Pierce, M.D., USArmy (Reserve);
Using a glass pitcher with three ice cubes and a glass swizzlestick, you slowly pour in the gin while looking at a picture of the guy who invented vermouth.

I'm not completely sure about that but it will really make a very dry Martini and you must consider the fact that the M.A.S.H. 4077 might not have had a supply of vermouth and that could have been Hawkeye's reasoning for using a photograph.

I will keep this one in mind but I reserve the right to keep looking. Have a good weekend
Give me the luxuries of life and I will willingly do without the necessities. Frank Lloyd Wright

Back from an endless meeting.. I'm trying to find motivation in writing a memo about it ... instead I resort to my endless search for the perfect Martini... let me know if anyone has found it yet....
Always do sober what you said you'd do drunk. That will teach you to keep your mouth shut. Ernest Hemingway

Today is another hot and muggy day in NYC and I feel it more because of my weekly visit to Jeff. Jeff is a bartender who is not happy if the next morning you dont wake up with a humongous headache and various expletives directed towards him...so Damn Jeff!!!
Elsewhere... I have to go to a meeting of the new board for CACC (Center for Animal Care and Control) apparently the Mayor has appointed a new board of directors who are supposed to finally put an end to all the abuse these poor mistreated animals have endured... I wish they could put humans in these places so they would realize how good they have it...

If you believe everything you read, better not read. Japanese Proverb

I have to remember to save my post before I search for help about stuff or else I have to rewrite it all over again ( this is the 3rd time!!!)
As I was saying (to myself) I'm kinda getting the hang of this HTML thing (last language I learned was the old basic back in the 80's)
it's quite easy and I should go out and buy me a book about it, be creative and maybe make my own page one day; and maybe by then I'll have a few readers who will flock to read my idiosoncracies... I was thinking of maybe going to a blog meet as they have all over the world they have em here in NYC too not to meet new people but to get a few pointers on how to improve my knowledge of this whole underworld .. that is if my wife will let me ( I can't believe it took me two days to mention her and yes I am Married!!) Anywho this should be it for the day I mean the score today is Blog 4 work 0 shouldn't I satrt working harder? if you want you can send a comment to my mail box (I just scripted that by myself wohoo!)
Procrastination is the art of keeping up with yesterday. Don Marquis

As I still learn how to use this thing.. I take away time from my job... I should really be working.... I have to write a report on whistleblowing (the art of accusing someone of something they might as well have not done) within the City's Administration.... meanwhile the Beast keeps sending me funny stuff to look at which takes away more time from my work ... and then there is the diet factor to consider... I'm slightly over weight ( I have a belly) and I'm trying to skip lunches in favor of a protein shake or a can of slim fast... but hunger sometimes knocks at the door of my brain and tells me I should eat something (but what?) and this is also distracting and takes away time from my work ... but the real question is do I really feel like working? (NO) should I be doing some work, considering I have a new direct boss and I need to show him I can do stuff? (MAYBE).. What do you think? click the Shout out button down on the left of this post and let me know.... Ciao
Do not protect yourself by a fence, but rather by your friends. Czech Proverb

Just yesterday I was watching something on the tube about friends and how this person didn't have many but truly cherished them.
Well I have many and keep em coming. Some of them you may find on-line on Pogowhich is an awsome game site if you ever come in there look for us in a game called word riot, but beware we will only acknowledge good players and if you dont play or dont know how to play the Beast will eat you anyway I just wanted to mention them briefly because they are always fun to spend time with lateroo
USA Today has come out with a new survey - apparently, three out of every four people make up 75% of the population.
David Letterman

One thing I never understood is the fascination with averages and percentages. Everywhere I look someone is trying to feed me numbers quotes and how many times in a week the average Joe goes to the bathroom.... recently during the world cup ESPN was flooding the screen with stats saying this or that player hadn't scored in so many days which was X percent of his entire career including his amateur career.. WHO CARES?? all I care for is to watch a good game and see my team win.

Anyway, it's still really hot in NYC and I'm still debating whether to share my secret Martini recipe with you if anybody is interested drop me a line. lateroo

Wise men talk because they have something to say; fools, because they have to say something. Plato

I did have to say something but since I lost it all and I lost momentum.. I'll just leave you with this Plato quote and let you all ponder

and until I can get an e-mail button here's my e-mail address kingroo120@yahoo.com
Reality is that which, when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away. Philip K. Dick.

Well I guess this is a good way to start my very first Blog.
I've been surfing a few of these journals and have seen all sorts of things: fact fiction something in between however it seems to me that it is an outing to pour your souls out and have other people listen to raves and rants of other complete strangers.
I dont know HTML I dont know Web publishing I would love to be able to have a few different buttons for y'all to push so you can get to know me better. right now I can tell you it's about 100 degrees farenheit in NYC and I only have dark suits to wear to work so I try to stay indoors.
I also still have to find someone who makes a Martini better than I do (and NO shaken is NOT the right way)
As far as my personal info I was Born in Italy 32 Yrs ago and I live in NYC ... I have a job in the City's administration but I dont care much about politics... I love sailing and miss it dearly as I used to race sailboats in Europe and now I don't anymore :(
Well I guess I could go on but I need more topics to fill so maybe a little later ok?
Ciao
