He said - "Let there be light", and there was light
"Let there be sound", and there was sound
"Let there be drums", and there was drums
"Let there be guitar", and there was guitar
"Let there be rock" And it came to pass
That rock 'n' roll was born. AC/DC

Ok so it starts with one of the greatest shows I've seen in a while on Tuesday August 12th a day after his 49th birthday Joe Jackson took the stage at Roseland in NYC and played a great set of Pop, Rock and just awesome music. Together with Gary Sanford (on a rolling chair due to a "Gardening accident" that broke his foot), Graham Maby and Dave Houghton, Joe belted out tunes from every era of his career and had the crowd singing and dancing for over two hours.

That was then....

Well all 2 of you readers know about the Blackout on Thursday (chances are I was with one of you ) I have to say that one of the President's comments really amazed me. He said that maybe it was time to upgrade the National Power Grid and I say No Shit!!! I mean who elected this guy? his brother?

After that it was quite an eventful weekend as I went to Shea and caught a great ball game ... endured a long day in Brooklyn (nuff said) and ended it with my first official trip to Six Flags Great Adventure which was a lot of fun but took a toll on my joints!
