Writing is not necessarily something to be ashamed of, but do it in private and wash your hands afterwards.
Robert Heinlein

I was just reading a couple of comments somebody told me they made on a post or two and I was extremely honored to find out the L. T. Fawkes actually decided to post a comment just because I mentioned his (I believe he's a guy although the book offers no info on the writer) novel in my July 15 Summer reading post. I have to say I live in extreme awe of artists in general especially writers and musicians I figured Terry "Muzzy" Saltz's creator deserves a post all to himself. So once again I'd like to plug "Cold Slice" L.T.'s first Novel go pick it up at your local bookstore I mean you can go without the Venti coconut frappaccino from Starbucks for one day, after all the price is the same. Read it, befriend all the carachters and when you're done eagerly await his next one "Lights Out" as I am.
Thank you L.T. for your kind comment and you're the one who rocks for creating such an interesting band of misfits!

In other news

I also received an E-mail from Tim Dorsey who is my other new favorite writer and that was pretty cool too

Paul Roe is alive and well....

....and is a Tattoo artist in DC.

Every now and then I get nostalgic about the good old days when I first came to NYC. I had some great friends and had a lot of fun fooling around and waiting tables. One of the restaurants I used to work at was called Steak Frites and there was a clique of three people who would hang out in the back room during service swap war stories and smoke. It was me, my friend Kip and Paul Roe. It starts out like a joke, you know an Italian a Californian and a Brit go in to work... there was the time on a Sunday we decide to get stoned and get slammed immediately after with a full house pissing off our manager who had to help... or that time a customer asked if he could come and smoke with us.... Well as most New York stories end, someone moves away, someone quits and someone changes careers. I kept in close contact with Kip but we often wondered what had happened to Paul. I even went to England to look for him and finally today I found him, my big English brother. It was a blast and it's great and if you want to see his website click here and enjoy... welcome back Fratellino glad to see you're doing fine
