We must believe in luck. For how else can we explain the success of those we don't like? Jean Cocteau
While I cant say my Blog is a success yet, I am extremely pleased I have readers.. It goes back to the same old question about the nature of our blogging.. and yes I still think of it as free therapy but I alos think humans at heart are all exhibitinoists Yours truly included .. so keep on reading and keep on shouting ... and maybe you too will one day keep on blogging

...You don't need a weatherman to know which way the wind blows. Bob Dylan
I love flying... I mean I love the whole action of getting to the airport, checking in, checking out passengers, wondering where they are going. I like to board the plane, get settled in, check out the in-flight entertainment (especially when you have your own screen and slew of channles to chose from). I always wonder about why other people are traveling where they're going, is that their final destination?
Now the FAA is planning on restricting international flights on and around September 11th.. while I understand increasing security measures on the first anniversary of that terrible, terrible day I dont understand why should we only restrict international flights, after all werent the Hijacked planes domestic flights from domestic carriers?

Canada: A few acres of snow. Voltaire
I'm getting ready to go to Canada for Labor day weekend... I like it up there .. It's peaceful .. people are friendly...it's clean... It reminds me a lot of Switzerland, without the cows and the chocolate that is... I will be golfing (never held a golf club in my life), drinking (never had a drink in my life) and enjoying the hopefully beautiful clean air.... I'm quite excited because I need to unplug for a few days and I'm flying Jet Blue for the first time... the only drawback as a smoker.. I cant buy cigarettes at the Duty free shope because I'm flying into Buffalo and then driving... but enough about me .. how are you guys? what are your plans for Labor day weekend? and what is your most memorable labor day ever?

Opera in English is, in the main, just about as sensible as baseball in Italian. H.L. Mencken
As an Italian living in New York I take offense at this quote... nonetheless... As an Italian living in America I have come to learn and love the game of Baseball in all it's different facets.. may it be a Saturday afternoon rainy softball game in Central Park or a Sunday afternoon Minor league game.. If I have the opportunity I'll be there... I wasn't crazy like that about soccer when I was in Milan .. I actually find myself following it more here since I left just to stay in touch with my heritage... anyway this weekend I did both (the saturday and sunday game) and it saddens me that the summer is almost over hence baseball season is too

Discussion is an exchange of knowledge; argument an exchange of ignorance. Robert Quillen
There could've been about five or six quotes I could've picked on the topic of discussion then again this one fits perfectly in what I want to say... which I have currently forgotten(maybe purposely as to not make a fool of myself).. however each day I will try and open the floor to discussion on various topics the first one being discussion itself ... I mean how many people are actually open to discussion and how many just claim they authortitatively know the answer? Leonardo once said: Whoever in discussion adduces authority uses not intellect but memory. but does it mean that using memory we are not able to have a discussion which draws from our own opinions? what if in this day and age we are fed so much information that we are not able to use our brains to formulate an independent idea? Does that sound too Huxley? let me know
Now about the weekend......
